Our Story
We met on your average Tuesday night in Madison (February 2013) at a local watering hole called The Kollege Klub (The KK). Tyler thought Katie was hitting on him... Katie thought Tyler was hitting on her... still up for debate!
Long story short, Tyler walked Katie home that snowy night and asked for her number. His phone was dead (classic Tyler) so he took out a pen and wrote her number on his hand.
The rest is history... after graduating from UW-Madison, Ty stayed in Madison for work and Katie started a new job in Chicago. In 2014, Ty began Physician Assistant school in Mobile, AL where we really experienced what long-distance was all about. We made the best of it though, seeing one another every 4 weeks or so, exploring various cities down south, including Pensacola, New Orleans and Biloxi. Soon after, we adopted the cutest little kitty named Madison (Maddie) who quickly took over our hearts and apartment. After Tyler graduated in July 2016 we united in Chicago and celebrated graduation and new beginnings with an incredible 2-week trip to Europe where we explored 7 countries.

Now in Chicago, we enjoy game night with friends, euchre league, making our way through Empire's list of "Top 500 Movies", spending time with family, and playing with Maddie.
In August 2017 Ty planned a surprise trip to Banff. On a visit to Moraine Lake, Ty asked a couple to take our photo. A few pictures in, he got down on one knee and asked Katie to spend the rest of our lives together. Our celebration afterwards? Plenty of kisses and a nice steep 4 hour hike above the lake!
We have enjoyed many adventures over the past 5 years and can't wait for more to come. We are excited to celebrate with our family and friends who have played an integral role in shaping us into the people we are today. We look forward to seeing all of you on October 6th in Lake Geneva!
